What does Neurological Physiotherapy consist of?

The aim of neurological physiotherapy is to help rehabilitate physical impairments caused by neurological conditions. It is tailored to the specific needs of each individual with a goal-oriented target.

The brain is able to both lose and form new connections, a process called neuroplasticity. Neurological physiotherapy is different from traditional physiotherapy in that it takes advantage of this, helping the brain to form new connections.

We use a variety of techniques including; handling skills, soft tissue mobilisation, postural management, movement/task analysis, exercise prescription, electrical stimulation, application of orthotics (splints), and taping to name a few.
